The user has agreed to the processing of their personal data. What happens next?
App sign-up, analytics and mailouts all involve processing personal data. At the fourth REVERA IT Lab meeting, we’ll look at how to organise this work and clearly explain to the user what’s happening with their information.
What we will talk about
- Which data in an IT product counts as personal, and where it is collected?
- How to determine which requirements apply to a project, including GDPR?
- When consent is required, and which other legal bases for processing you need to check?
- How to prepare clear notices and a data processing policy?
- What to consider when connecting analytics, advertising tools and mailouts?
- How to allocate responsibilities with contractors, cloud services and other data recipients?
- What to check when transferring data between countries?
- How to set up responses to user requests and actions in the event of an incident?
What the participants will get
- An understanding of how to map out data processing within a product.
- Guidance for checking the legal bases for processing and user-facing documents.
- A checklist of questions for contractors and services that receive data.
- An understanding of how to make data-related communication transparent for the user.
- A chance to ask REVERA experts a question about your own project.
