WN Conference Istanbul’25

On 19–20 June, our team of lawyers participated in the WN Conference — one of the leading international conferences in the gaming industry, which gathered over 1,500 participants from more than 50 countries. Developers, publishers, investors, marketers, platform providers, and service providers gathered in Istanbul — the event became a true magnet for everyone working in the gaming sector.

Among the packed agenda, we highlighted five key topics that, in our opinion, most accurately reflect the current state and future development of the market:

1. The shift from simple mobile games to more complex PC projects
   An increasing number of studios are striving to move beyond the hyper-casual segment and are testing their projects on the Steam platform. This requires considerable effort but also opens up new horizons.
2. Trends and growth in the gaming industry
   We discussed which areas are experiencing growth, where there is a shortage of specialists, and what changes the market can expect in the coming years.
3. Artificial Intelligence
   AI is becoming more actively integrated into gaming processes — from content creation to task automation. This opens up new opportunities but also raises questions: how will the role of teams evolve?
4. Blockchain games and Web3
   The number of projects involving NFTs and tokens continues to grow. The focus is gradually shifting from the technology itself to the real value and experience that players gain.
5. The future of mobile games and new distribution methods
   Changes in Apple and Google’s policies are driving developers to seek alternative app stores and new channels to attract audiences.

We were pleased to meet with our clients and partners, discuss ongoing projects, exchange ideas, and gain inspiration for new challenges.

Participation in the WN Conference allowed us to gain a deeper insight into the current processes within the industry and better understand its future direction.
