JYSK’s expantion in Belarus

REVERA acted as a legal advisor in a large project for the entry of a Scandinavian chain of household goods into the Belarusian market.

JYSK is a Danish multinational corporation. The company owns the largest chain of furniture, mattress, home and sleeping goods stores. The JYSK brand is widely represented all over the world: at the beginning of June 2020, there are 2 903 stores in 52 countries of the world.

The company was faced with an ambitious task – to enter the Belarusian market and open 30 brand stores. From the first days of JYSK’s work in Belarus, REVERA has been helping to implement this strategy.

Our tasks included the initial creation of a Belarusian company, the development of internal regulations, and ongoing support for business activities.

Also, REVERA experts have developed a standard contract form for concluding lease agreements throughout Belarus, accompanied a number of large transactions for the lease of retail real estate.

Based on a legal opinion and with the support of REVERA, an e-commerce project was launched.
